Year End

2011 is ending real soon and well, it is time to plan for the new year. Or probably just ignore the yearly resolution. I learned so much throughout the whole year. Wedding was the major part of our 2011. Been spending most of my spare time thinking and planning about it. It is definitely a great year with ups and downs.
I have learned how to be a better person.
How to control my temper, oh well I do emo sometimes but with valid reasons.
I learned to speak up especially if I am not happy with something.
I learned about friendship.
I love meeting new friends and I joined Rotaract. They are bunch of awesome and fun people.
I learned beading.
I learned how to manage my time efficiently.
And I have Fatty.

And I have lost some weight for the wedding. A great success of my weight loss diet since I started planning about it probably 3 years ago. HAHA

Here ae some pictures to wrap up the year:

Post-Wedding Updates

Wow... It has been more than one week from our wedding day.
Plenty of updates for the wedding preps till the BIG day. Smile, laughter, tiredness, exhaustion and emotional.

An average wedding reception and could be done better. But I have no choice but to agree. I never wanted anyone to perform on my dinner besides professional. Sigh. They actually sort of ruined a lil'. Rude me, but I am just being honest.

What is more obvious now is that I have lost weight since few days before the day without me realizing. Fuh... I've always wanted to lose weight and tried few methods
but never to the extend that I lost about 3kg within 2 weeks
(since Malacca Reception 19-Nov till the actual day).
WY 'warned' me to gain back those kilos. Well, not that difficult to gain actually. LOL

Few friends asked about marriage life. Erm... Honestly, I don't or YET to see much difference.
Trying to improve myself as time passes. :)
Been eating and working as usual. But less of couple outing recently or since we were busy with the wedding preps. Time to spice up our life back!
Missed our anniversary which I've been waiting but ended with little disappointed.
Nah, this entry seems to be more of complaining than updating! :(

I am actively looking for suitable job. Decided to move into new career path.
Programming isn't that fun or I am not passionate.
Been in the industry for 2.5 years and it's time to move on!
And started to plan for our honeymoon trip.
Another exciting preps and after the wedding
Looking forward to February 2012.

Stay tuned for more photos from our wedding day.
Aww, my grandmother actually asked why she can't see any wedding photos uploaded.
One of the reason why I love Facebook. HAHA

And Federic is leaving for Singapore. We are definitely going to miss him!

Special Wedding and Birthday Cake

I am a dessert-holic. YES. You have no idea how much I ♥ dessert. Having a sweet tooth makes me a sweet and nice person. LOL. I just can't resist all those beautiful cakes, cupcakes and macaroons.

I ordered a special home-made wedding cake for our Malacca Reception. Kebaya theme cake is so lovely and definitely match our wedding theme - RED.

19th November is WY's birthday too. Was so lucky to have our wedding reception on his birthday. Myself and the team had surprise birthday celebration for him on that night without his knowledge. :p
Kak Siti from Lissa&Rayyan made another special birthday cake with Manchester United theme.

Oh ya... Not forgetting our special cows cuppies for morning sessions! Aren't they cute? :)

We have 2 cakes (almost 2kg each) and 378 cuppies for the day! Sounds crazy but I definitely LOVE all of them. She is very helpful and nice lady to work with.

Pre-Wedding Jitters

4 days till the wedding date.

Excited, nervous and worried. I have been so worried of everything that can go wrong. We all know that each and every girl would definitely have some kind of picture about her grand wedding ceremony on mind. I wish for a perfect and memorable wedding day. There is statement saying one of the most stressful days in many people's lives is their wedding. I hope it is common for one or both to feel really nervous. :)

I do experienced stressful period throughout our wedding preparations. I am glad that I have a calm and understanding partner. He never failed to squeeze in some lame jokes to cheer me up!

As time passed, I slowly realized that my level of patience and tolerance has increased. Thanks to my bunch of good friends. I look forward to our BIG day and the most anticipated honeymoon!!!

The Nyonya Reception!

We had our Nyonya reception last Saturday. Wow... I feel relieved that dinner went smooth and definitely satisfied. We had great company, good food and fun friends and family! Appreciate every single thing and efforts from everyone who made our day. And it was Wee Yang's birthday too~!

Started the day with Betrothal Gift Exchange ceremony or also know as Guo Da Li in mandarin. Family and relatives arrived as early as 9 morning. Lunch was prepared by mum and her helpful neighbours. They were kind enough to lend a hand for the whole morning session. I love my neighbourhood!

Our cows cuppies!

home-cooked lunch

gift from Emily :)

The girls had lunch at my place before check in to their hotel for rest.

Left for Ambridge Cottage at 2.30pm for makeove and hairdo. Very early isn't it? The reason why I was early at the venue for dinner. :) I am the special bride to reached the venue before everyone else (except my relatives and friends).

I was nervous. Seriously. We have Birthday Surprise planned and I was afraid our guests will get bored. Thank god, no complaints YET. Lol. I was helped by the girls and siblings. Fuh... I don't think the dinner can be so fun and smooth without them.

Everyone has their own task for the Birthday Surprise! I have to make sure it remains secret, communicate with Feo Man and the gang and coordinate with everyone in the 'team'!

SURPRISE!

WY's birthday cake

Birthday Boy~

As a 'mastermind', I have informed the restaurant PIC about my plans. 'Golok' the technical guy helped a lot, although there are some miscommunication in between. Overall, whole 'team' did an excellent job. :p

Speaking of dinner flow, we did encounter a little problem here and there especially the seating arrangement, unexpected amount of guests and delay in food (may be). We had so much fun towards the end as everyone was so excited and 'high'. Haha. Everything turned out perfect (almost) and we appreciate all the hard work and efforts as it really helps in making our day a success!
