We planned our honeymoon after the wedding. Secured flight tickets from Apple Vacation. We covered London, Manchester (Old Trafford), Amsterdam, Munich, Prague, Paris and Dubai in a span of 18 days.
Hotel and hostels booked as soon as we have our flights confirmed. What we did was survey survey survey. You can get everything from the net. Our main sources are Lowyat forum and Trip Advisor.
All the preparations went well. Did some shopping for winter preparation as well. We don't really have a proper itinerary for the whole trip. More like free and easy and spontaneous.
We flew with Emirates and arrived in London on 9th February 2012 morning (local time) after transiting at Dubai for 3 hours. Stayed at Tune Hotel @ Liverpool Street, second Tune hotel in UK. Location was 15 mins walking distance from Liverpool Street station.

We had English breakfast almost everyday.
We went to Oxford St and Regent St after short rest in the hotel. Both are shopping streets next to each other.
This is our very first meal in London - beef kebab. Portion was quite big and enough for both of us.
We visited Old Trafford next day. Took Virgin Trains from Euston Station to Manchester Picadilly and followed by tram to the stadium. We bought tickets for stadium tour and had some chat with Li Fang.
