SCKLM 2011

Standard Chartered KL Marathon (SCKLM) was held last Sunday (26th June). WY, Michael and myself took part in the 10km men & women open. Our very first run with SC and it was a pleasant experience. The organiser did a good job overall. There were enough water stations and medic throughout the 10km. Saw some comments from their Facebook page talking about ice, sponge, insufficient size for finisher tee for full marathon (42km). BIG  round of applause to the entire organising committees, volunteers - they never stop smiling and cheering, police and everyone that has contributed to the success of the event. Excellent and awesome~!

Woke up 4am that day. @.@ We took shuttle bus from Bukit Jalil to Jalan Parlimen.
Warm-up Cam-whoring at the starting point for more than 1hour before flag off at 7am.

It started to drizzle just before the start. Don't really prefer to run in cold weather - cause I hardly sweat even with the sun. Lol
Nice route for 10km - we get to tour KL city during the run and Taman Burung (Bird Park)!! Hehehe

My feedback:
*I don't look good in green singlet - quality average

* LONG queue at the toilets before the 10km start. Organiser should have prepare more toilets for 10 thousand runners that morning.

* I realised some part of the route without proper traffic control.

* Few items in the race pack for RM60 we paid - BIB, singlet, pen, booklet, muesli bar and Subway voucher

* Too many runners at the starting point - 10380 in total from the statistic today. We took more than 5mins to reach the starting point after gun. Some slow runners / walkers caused the 'slow traffic'.. I might be in the slow runners catergory.. Hehe..

With my slow pace, I finally finished the 10.6km and reached dataran Merdeka after 1h22m22s. What a nice number!!!! :)

You guys must be wondering what is xtramile Day all about.. Brief on the xtramile run that was held on 17-18th June 2011.

• -to raise funds for the StART Society’s Music and Dance Programme which will benefit some 200 underprivileged children to build their artistic and creative skills.

• -Alex Au-Yong has 'donated' his leg to run 100km to raise fund for the cause (RM100,000).

• -Alex completed 100km in 17 hours plus with few check points.

I was one of the volunteer at Sunway Pyramid check point.  Total of 500 candles in cup were lit along the path for Alex and pacers.

It has been a very tiring day since I had my pre-wed photoshooting earlier before the event. Satisfied with both PS and Xtramile. An awesome and great weekend *smile*

Pre wedding Photoshoot

Had our pre-wedding photoshooting at Lasposa last Friday (17th June 2011). Despite having to wake up early in the morning (to avoid jam and breakfast at SS2 mall), we really enjoyed this whole day.

After breakfast at Old Town, we drove to Lasposa and reached there around 9a.m. 30minutes earlier coz we were too excited.. Lol

Definitely love the make-up and hair styles. Candy did an awesome job and transformed me into damn pretty bride-to-be.. :)

Total of 2 wedding gowns, 2 evening dress and 1 Spain costume for that 1st photoshoot.

Had McDonald's lunch in the studio before proceed to Ulu Yam for outdoor shooting. Wasn't feeling well that evening sitting in the car with the gown and hot weather. But super satisfied with the photos produced. love love love the outdoor photos.. *yeah
