Reception Concept

Have been browsing photos from some of the photographers site..
Got some idea what type of reception I really want..
Discussed with Bean on my idea and we came out with the theme

Malacca : Fun and Joy
  1. Since I will be inviting most of my friends to the reception, I want to make it like a gathering.. Coursemate and school friends gathering.. Sounds cool.. :)
  2. I will be wearing gown for the first march in and full set of kebaya for the second march in
  3. Need few girls and boys with bakul siah during march in
  4. My ji muis as usherer for that night
  5. Balloons and decoration at the reception table and photo album area - much depends on the restaurant space
  6. Custom made the 'Thank You' sticker (RM18 for 100 pcs)

    KL : Simple and Elegant
    1. Theme colour - purple+black+white
    2. Might engage with decorator for - Balloons on the middle of each table, decoration at reception and photo album area with photo stand. Cake table decor optional if restaurant do it for us.
    3. Restaurant provides decoration for VIP table
    4. Initial plan for balloons arch might need to reconfirm.
    5. Thinking of getting own backdrop design with our colour theme. *budget comes first*
    6. Restaurant giving chocolate as wedding favour. - done for this part.
    7. Real or fake cake?

      Things to prepare:
      • Wedding event decorator in KL
      • Balloons, photo stand and flowers in Malacca
      • PA systems and projector in Malacca (Still not satisfy with the restaurant settings but nothing can be done since 19 Nov is a 'hot' date)
      • Where to find flower girls?? and bakul siah :p
      • I am going to wear full nyonya set. Need to talk to MUA for my hairstyle. Make my own beaded shoes. Tailor made kebaya ASAP.. woohoooo ~!

      The weekend !!!

What did we do last weekend?

Saturday - The fiance went to office (extra work) while I did my shopping with Bean and Kiat at Mid Valley.
He dropped me off at MV about 9am. Early right? :)
Linger around the mall while waiting for Bean & Kiat. Had our brunch at Zanmai and continue shopping. The girls bought a new pair of Lewre.. Woohoo... New heels for my ROM coming June. Yet to find any heels that catches my eyes.. Erm...
I have been Google about bridal shoe. There are few of them :
Bean got herself a new bag from Charles & Keith for RM100. A good deal and she loves it. :)
There is new yogurt kiosk opposite Din Tai Fung @ The Gardens... I love the name :)

We had vanilla yogurt with peach jam... *Thanks Bean*

Dinner with the fiance at Sushi Zen. Whole day of Japanese food. I never say NO to Japanese cuisine. :p
Football match with Feo Man at night. Sigh! Manchester United won the title. I am not MU's supporter.. Never... Haha

Sunday - We went to Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie for breakfast as planned. I get to know about Levain thru Rotaract meeting. Love the concept. Similar to the one in Brunetti, Melbourne. This place is so pack and not to mention about the car park.

      Our Sunday Breakfast venue

      The REAL Stove Oven

      Crispy Walnut Bread

      Baguatte

They are selling jam as well

      Colourful and lovely Macaroons

      Yummy~!

Octopus Bun, RM2.80 - normal bread with cheese
Crispy Walnut Bread, RM3.80 - healthy bread.. :p

Turkey Ham & Eggs, RM3.20 - tasted lovely especially the egg
Custard Cream Donut, RM2.80 - I love the custard

Fiance with his Paul the octopus

We got ourselves take away macaroons! - just so heavenly~

Out for lunch with FPIL to relative's grand opening in Kajang. And he stayed at home to do some preparation for Iran BT.

Oh ya.. It was raining quite heavy in the evening and my living hall flooded.. Clean up and WY dropped me off to Yuen Steamboat to meet the gang, Bean, Jacey, Emily, Kiat and Melv.
Had too much of fish yesterday night. And not forgetting chicken wings too. Haha. We had so much fun and laugh. :)

Wedding Update - Fitting and ROM (10th May)

Done with gown fitting last Friday at Lasposa. One wedding gown and 2 evening dress for indoor. We have postponed the photoshooting date since the dress is not available on 27th May. Confirmed dates for photoshooting are 17th June (indoor and Ulu Yam) and 12th August (Sepang). Kinda dilemma for the dresses and gown selection. Hopefully I won't have the same hassle choosing for actual day gown and dress. It was totally exciting and fun trying on the gowns and dresses. Why can't I choose all of them? LOL

Check out all the gowns and dresses :

      Wedding Gown 1
      Love the long train

      Wedding Gown 2
Will be wearing this for the indoor photo shoot. Need to alter as it is too loose on me.

      Wedding Gown 3
Nice combination here. And love the back!!!

      Evening Dress 1
Have to admit that I'm fat coz can't even zip up
Lighting effects will make this dress looks brighter than above image

      Evening Dress 2
Unique colour but not very outstanding. Gorgeous neckline

      Evening Dress 3
Not shortlisted because of the double layer dress

Evening Dress 4 - ignore the tired face :)
Seems like all the dresses have same pattern and design

       Evening Dress 5
      Disney-look-alike dress
OMG.. Have no idea why I even tried it on

      Evening Dress 6
Like it the most among other dresses. Definitely will be wearing this for photo shoot.

      I  ♥  this photo so much ~!
Move on with my ROM cocktail MTM dress. Went to Ginny's place on sunday morning. Friendly and helpful lady. The reason I choose to go for MTM is because kinda lazy to shop for the dress off rack. Much easier for me to inform the designer on my preferred design than searching around the mall for ready made dress. Done with that. Photo will be revealed on my ROM, 11th June. :)

Wee Yang got his shirt from G2000 for ROM and still looking for suitable jeans. I still not able to find suitable heels for ROM, PS and AD. Lewre and Aldo do not have any design I wanted. :(

Hunting for heels this coming weekend.. Woohoo~
Updated our diary and to-do list here

      *32 days till our ROM*

      Bali :: Part 1

Have been busy lately.. Erm.. Preparing for up coming event.. LOL
It's the right time to blog about our recent Bali trip. Awesome. Exhausted. Fun.
Being 'experience' in Bali giving us advantage to explore only places worth for visit. Skipped Uluwatu temple to avoid the monkeysss... :p

19th April 2011 - Our flight was at 3.45pm. Managed to catch some sleep (too bored). AND participated in the quiz as well. Celebrating one of the passenger's birthday on board with Birthday Song. Air Asia was kind enough to give complimentary voucher to that passenger. I think they have additional Renaissance voucher to give away and I got it by answering the question. What is the only male flight attendant's name onboard? Being an observant, I remembered his name. Haha. My sis said, I am so 'gatal' to remember guys' name. @@

      Bali.. I'm coming!!!!

Ta-daa... Thanks to AA for the voucher..

Arrived Denpasar International Airport about 7pm. Met Encik Bagus and his staff, Adi at the airport lobby. There were so many taxi drivers. Please book your tour guide in advance and do not fall into trap as most of the taxi drivers at the airport overcharging the tourists. Adi drove us to Ubud, 1 hour from the airport. We had our dinner at Naughty's Nuri Warung as recommended.

      A satisfying dinner place

      Pork Chop

      Spare Rib

Bluurrpp... The bill wasn't cheap. We paid about Rp380,000 inclusive tax. Dewa from Jati Home Stay picked us up after dinner.

      Day 2, 20th April 2011:
The sun rises as early as 6am in Bali. Chirping sound of birds with rooster crowing in the morning - our alarm clock in Ubud.. :)

Morning walk, breakfast and waited for Adi.

Our breakfast at Jati Homestay - banana pancake

Our first destination - Nusa Dua Beach as I wanted to go for water sports. First time experiencing parasailing in Bali was totally a great fun I had. :)

Good landing for first timer.. woohooo

After Nusa Dua, Adi drove us to another beach. Dreamland beach. Wow...
The weather was freaking hot.. Feel like sauna... We managed to shoot some nice pictures :)

Lunch time.. As planned, Adi drove us back to Ubud for Babi Guling Ibu Oka. Highly recommended by forumers. But I think the taste was just average. Nothing special. We paid for Rp35,000 for a plate for rice, slices of meat, skin and some vege.
One of the famous Babi Guling in Bali

      Babi Guling Special set

Adi sent us back to Jati Homestay after done with the lunch. We freshened up and headed to Sang Spa. Driver from Sang Spa was earlier than expected. :)

We paid Rp150,000 (RM53) for 1 hour traditional massage and 1 hour body scrub + flower bath.

The same driver drop us off at Bebek Bengil for dinner after spa. Erm... Eat.Play.Eat.Play...
Bebek Bengil or also known as crispy duck is one of the food to try in Bali. Nice ambiance with average taste. Another tourist trap for the overpriced meal.

Bebek Bengil set - half a baby duck + rice

      Gado-gado

      Alpukat or avocado juice

      I like this photo :)
      To be continued....
